Only 1/2 of the total order was shipped, and product would not work in my laptop. Seller was non-responsive to my inquiries, but finally came through. Amazon was not clear on return information necessary for their A-Z guarantee. Very unsatisfied with this transaction.

PNY OPTIMA 2GB DDR2 667 MHz PC2-5300 Notebook / Laptop SODIMM Memory Module MN2048SD2-667
I bought this Memory Module, and I tried to put this memory module in my lap top, in my Fiancee’s lap top and in my friend’s lap top and it didn’t work in any of them. I sent an e-mail to PNY and so far no answer. That’s why I’m returning it and calling for a refund.
For me The PNY Co lost my credibility because didn’t even reply my e-mail.

I bought this one and as mentioned by other reviewer, vista home premium recognized only 3 gb RAM. Then I herad from one of my friend that CORSAIR’s VS4GSDSKIT667D2 is optimized for vista. I bought that one (Corsair 2gb*2) and now my laptop’s OS (Vista home premium) recognized full 4Gb and is working fine.

PNY has a great technical staff. Very helpful when the module did not work at all. After trying two other modules with complete success I retried the PNY. The technical person at PNY finally admitted that there were “issues” that could not be resolved making this “upgrade” not possible. Very nice technical person. It looked good! Maybe it will work for you.

Walmart has a book to tell you which wiper blades to buy but the people who sell these memory sticks are not as forthcoming. Installing the wrong memory into your laptop can destroy your mother board. Some work on different voltages. Some require you to replace as sets. Take your laptop to a store like Micro Center or Best Buy and have their tech or sales person pick out the correct memory for you. My computer crashed when I installed these into it. Best Buy charges $199.00 plus parts to reinstall the operation system and that is only if no permanent damage was done. Worst of all is loosing everything off of your computer if you didn’t copy all of your files first. Some things are better left to the Geek Squad.
