i have just installed the memories in there and it couldn’t boot up.
I after some light research, I realized i was supposed to buy the 667mhz ones.
I have also found out if I keep the original memory in there, and only insert one of the new ones, the computer will still recognize the both of them.
However, when I put both of the new memories in, it won’t work.

I will admit that I had not checked the compatibility of this product with my computer before ordering, so it is possible that it was just incompatible. But when installed my computer would not boot and I got the dreaded blue screen of death with a message that advised that a hardware problem was causing a fatal error and that any newly installed hardware should be removed and then try to reboot. When I put the old memory back in it worked fine. Tried the new memory again and, not surprisingly, got the same message. Amazon’s return policy was great and they promptly refunded my $. BTW, the first time Amazon shipped this product all I got was an empty box, the shipping box had obviously been opened, the contents removed and the box re-sealed. When I contacted Amazon they were great and promptly sent a replacement and upgraded the shipping at no charge. Product one star. Amazon’s service 5 stars.

I’m giving it 5 stars because it’s worth 5 stars – it’s horribly cheap for 4 gigs of memory.
BUT BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU LEAP!!!!
I have a dell e1505. I’ve already upgraded it from 1 to 2 gigs, and bought this to push it to 4 so I could reinstall vista (which was still ploddy to me at 2 gigs)
I found out the hard way that e1505s only take a max of 2 gigs at the PC2-5300 format. This is PC2-6400. This resulted in my laptop not even recognizing the ram…not even a singular stick. I was flustered until I caught my mistake. I don’t have anybody to blame except Dell for making such an inferior laptop.
I’m going to have to return this sadly. Oh well….I bet it would have been great!

I purchased this memory to use with iMac purchased in mid 2008 and they don’t work. My iMac model is MB325LL/A 24″ 2.8GHz. When both memory slots are replaced with the new memory the iMac does not boot. As one of the previous reviewer had suggested, if you leave 1Gig of the original memory in slot 0 and plug one of the 2 Gig strip in slot 1 and the iMac boots fine. In this case, you get only 3 Gig of memory.
