The battery works okay so far (2 months). However battery life is only ~1.5h and then needs to be recharged – was hoping it would last longer than that.

I just received my battery from power_direct and I have to say I’m a bit disappointed. It is NOT an actual dell battery, as other reviewers said, and the finish isn’t as nice. There’s a problem with one of the hooks that connect to the laptop – it seems to be slightly thicker AND the plastic piece for the locking mechanism is reversed. So it does not lock into the laptop, it just fits very tightly in the slot, and the lock is permanently in the open position. Will try to upload pictures later.
I will give it a try but if it starts heating up or anything, I will definitely be returning it. It also doesn’t look completely brand new – some scratches and stuff indicating it has been used before. The only pro is that it included better instructions for maintaining and getting the most use out of your battery.
I may return it regardless.. I don’t like the thought of putting anything in my computer that seems badly made, that may change the structure and damage the integrity of my system, even if it’s half the price.
UPDATE: I just went back to the page and the picture has changed completely – mine was a 6-cell not a 9-cell as pictured.. not sure what’s going on with this product.

Let’s see…an original 56Wh Dell battery (this is NOT a third-party knock-off) for 1/3 Dell’s price. What’s not to love about this deal?! Whether or not it provides enough endurance is your call. As an XPS M1330 owner, I can say this battery provides about 3 hrs of power. If you want about 4.5-5hrs, go for a nine-cell.

This battery shipped really fast…It was an actual Dell battery for $45! Dell wants double for the cost!
I installed it and now I get up to 3 hours of battery time on a full charge with my Dell m1330.

I ordered this battery for my Dell XPS M1330. It works perfectly. My old battery was down to 20 minutes – now I am back to 4 hours! Very happy!!! And a lot less money than the authentic Dell battery. A good deal!
