Do not buy a computer at Amazon. If you do not like it, there is a restocking fee.
Sometimes saving a few dollars if it is that much is not worth it.
In today’s day in age, you can find just as good buys or better locally. Sorry I did not. Just trying to stay away from the crowds, not smart.
Battery life is way to short. HP has many models with longer battery life.
The speakers sound good if you can only hear them, the volume is way too soft at max settings.

The machine’s main advantage is as a movie viewer. The image is clean and sharp.
It has a few disadvantages the main being that the keyboard, supposedly touch pad misses out letters on the screen. My other laptop is a dated IBM Thinkpad (which I am using now) and the key board outshines the new HP.
I also use the computer with a head set for Skype. Again the sound quality, particularly on the part of the recipient is poor. The old IBM is far superior.
Whether the HP G60 is good for you will depend upon your needs. If you require traditional computer functions such as keyboard for word etc, it does not match up to my expectations. If you want it more as an entertainment center, then it as an improvement on my previous model.
I guess my ten year old daughter won out. She uses it all the time to watch “Merlin”, whilst I am still banging the keybord on the old IBM!

Bought this laptop on Black Friday. Works great, easy setup. Battery life is good-to-great. 15.5″ is a good screen size — almost considered 17.5″ until saw it and realized it’s a huge monster that would never work on an airplane. Hard drive is sufficient size. Really like the HDMI port to watch DVDs or Internet video on our flatscreen TV. Seems to be one of the best laptops on the market today. Wish the ctrl and fcn keys were switched and there was a clearer indicator that the NUM Lock and CAPS Lock are on/off.
