I got this for my white 13″ MacBook (2009) and it fits really nicely! I was a bit skeptical at first when I got it, but I love it more and more each day. The bumpers are very useful, I feel that they do in fact help to protect the edges of my macbook when bumped. Also, the zippers are very smooth and do not scratch laptop. Thick, sturdy, cool, no regrets in getting this case!

Therefore I also love this item. It is a funky lookin’ thing that does its job well. The waves are the bumpers that really protect your precious electronic window to the world from bumps and bruises. Only issue: no good place for cordage if you don’t want to risk scratching the exterior of your laptop. I don’t, but if I did, I am sure I could fit the cord in with my 11.6″ netbook very easily. Solution: get a unit with great battery life and leave the cord at home or in your checked bag.

I’m pretty picky about my stuff- in terms of design issues- nothing ordinary will do. But when I saw this I knew that it was perfect and I was right! I have a 2009 Macbook and was looking for positive reviews for a laptop sleeve for it. The zipper clears the body of the Macbook- hinge side or thumb-groove side up. I was happy that it is made of neoprene and the extra bumps provide me with at the very least, an additional sense of mental security, especially as I tend to forget when my backpack is holding my laptop and throw it on the couch. Oops.

It’s a little bit more expensive than the usual laptop cases at Target et al., in basic boring black or hot pink, etc., (which run about $15) But you pay for a great design by Built.

A word of warning- there are some pretty strong off-gases when you first receive it, but they tend to dissipate. I haven’t washed it yet to see if it will get rid of the smell as it doesn’t bother me that much and is fading anyway. Get it! You don’t be sorry if you prefer the unique and the awesome :)

The sleeve performs as advertised. I wish there was a sleeve that had a separate compartment to store the power supply.

I bought this sleeve for my friend and now I wish I bought this for myself too! It fits her Macbook Pro 13″ smoothly, and the zip doesn’t scratch the laptop. Definitely recommended!
