When I first received this product it works well with the 1501 the only problem after 2 months it stopped charging and when plugged in the port it tends to come lose quite easily. All in all it works but with possibilities of problems.

Yes, I was skeptical like a lot of people, especially after reading some of the not so positive reviews. I received the product in less time than I expected, it came very nicely packaged and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Works great with my Inspiron 6400. Gives me long lasting battery which not even my last charger (the original one) did.

Bought a used Dell Inspiron 1521 and the guy threw in a universal adapter. After about 2 days I realized the battery wasn’t charging. Lots of reasons it could have been but the adapter was one of them. I bought this adapter to try before replacing the battery (old and completely discharged) because it was very inexpensive and in no time my battery was charged.
I don’t expect this adapter to last forever but it is doing the job and clarified what was wrong. It gets warm, but not hot. Apparently, it works better on some models than others but it was well worth trying and I am glad I did.

This adapter is $20 (maybe $10 now) and dell still sells there’s for $70. I’ve gone through 3 Dell originals because the wires get frayed. Mine charges the battery and powers the computer, it’s not as hot as the last one (which fried in a month) but it’s warm. Strange quirk for my Dell e1505 is that the trackpad won’t work went the battery is charging…
so there’s that.
Buy this product if you want to save ~$50
You get what you pay for.
